Serving Vikings Mead
The Vikings viewed their mead as the most luxurious and valuable drink. They named mead, the drink of the Gods. Even today, less than 1% of all of the alcohol in the world is mead, with most people not knowing it's rare and devine taste. It's rarity is due to mead being more expensive to make than wine. As for serving this luxurious drink, whilest the vikings often enjoyed drinking their mead from animal horns and the skulls of their fallen enemies. We suggest using a port or sherry or white wine glass; As they have a narrower bowl and opening, which helps to reduce the exposure to oxygen and it's shape helps to preserve all of the beautiful aromatics of the Vikings Mead.
